  1. How does this horse handle being laid off?

  2. Observe structure and confirmation, and ask about past injuries, blemishes and previous vaccines.

  3. Has it been exposed to “town”?

  4. Does it have any quirks or vices?

  5. Does it have abilities or potential for areas other than ranching? (i.e. trail riding, roping, reining, etc.)
